H3RC Internship Program

The Hawai‘i Health & Harm Reduction Center (H3RC) Internship Program is designed to provide a meaningful and hands-on learning experience that aligns with our mission to reduce harm, promote health, create wellness, and fight stigma in our community. We are committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment where interns gain valuable professional skills while making a tangible impact on the lives of those we serve. Through mentorship, training, and real-world experience, we help interns find the right program that supports their academic and career goals, ensuring their time with H3RC is both transformative and enriching. Guided by our vision to serve Hawai‘i communities with compassion, innovation, and resilience, we strive for excellence while serving with passion and kindness—creating a future where everyone has access to the care and resources they need to thrive.

Requirements

Application Due Dates:

  • Fall Semester - April 30th 

  • Spring Semester - November 30

  • Summer Semester - March 31

  • Resume (PDF or Word documents only)

  • Cover Letter 

  • Unofficial Transcript 

  • Application Form

the deadlines stated above.

Late applications will not be accepted. 

Application Process

1. Applicants are to submit their application packets through the link above.       

    Confirmation of receipt shall be provided.

​

2. All applications received will be reviewed after the deadline. 

​

3. If selected applicants will be interviewed. If not selected, a notification will be sent

    through email. 

​

4. Once selected interns will be provided HIPAA and Business Compliance training.

    Blood Borne Pathogens training may also be required depending on the

    program. 

​

5. Through out your time with us you may be rotated through our programs to provide a well rounded experience with our agency to gain valuable experience for your future.
