On August 31, International Overdose Prevention Day, HHHRC Executive Director Heather Lusk participated in a panel discussion, “Overdose Awareness: Prevention and Education,” on KHON2. Other participants included Dr. Roy Goo, Pharmacy Practice Department Chair at Daniel K. Inouye College of Pharmacy (University of Hawai῾i at Hilo), Edward Mersereau from the Hawai῾i State Department of Health’s Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division, and Gabe Bautista, community advocate and former HHHRC outreach worker.

“Harm Reduction in the Pacific,” a half-hour KHON2 documentary is also available to view online. It features Lt. Governor Josh Green, numerous HHHRC staff, and Dr. Dan Galanis, an epidemiologist with the Hawai῾i State Department of Health.
