H3RC was proud to host the return of our C.H.O.W. Party, bringing together community members and service providers for a day focused on connection, care, and access to resources. The event welcomed more than 50 participants and 16 community exhibitors, creating a vibrant space where individuals could engage directly with organizations offering health services, support, and information.
Events like the C.H.O.W. Party are an important part of our harm reduction work. They provide a welcoming, low-barrier environment where people can connect with services, ask questions, and build relationships with providers who support them.
We are excited by the strong turnout and the enthusiasm from both participants and partner organizations. Our goal is to host the C.H.O.W. Party quarterly, continuing to grow the event and welcome even more service providers who can connect directly with the community.
A special mahalo to Harris United Methodist Church for opening their doors and providing a safe and welcoming space for our community to gather. Their partnership helps make events like this possible.
Mahalo to all the exhibitors and community members who joined us. We look forward to seeing you at the next C.H.O.W. Party.

I love the idea of the C.H.O.W. Party bringing people together for community care! It really highlights how important connection is, especially after everything we've been through. I'm curious though—do you think events like this could benefit from incorporating fun elements, like a mini Slope game challenge as an icebreaker? It could add a playful touch to helping folks bond over something engaging. What do you all think about balancing structure with some lighthearted activities?
In Build Now GG, I had a round where I kept getting pressured from all sides. Staying calm under that chaos made the victory feel huge.
