On March 29, the stage came alive as the Diva of Polynesia Pageant made its long-awaited return, the first Diva since 2010. The evening celebrated māhū, transgender, and gender-diverse excellence across the Pacific. Held at Artistry Honolulu, the event brought together community members, supporters, and performers for a powerful night of culture, creativity, and pride.

Contestants lit up the stage with unforgettable performances, showcasing artistry, storytelling, and deep cultural expression. Congratulations to Yazzy Flambé, who was crowned this year’s Diva of Polynesia. We also extend our deepest mahalo to all of our contestants, including Boom Kanani Ashton and Garden Island Goddess Princess Hanalei, for sharing their talent, vulnerability, and brilliance with the community.

More than a pageant, Diva of Polynesia is a celebration of identity, legacy, and visibility. Its return after more than a decade is a powerful reminder of the strength and resilience of our community, honoring those who paved the way while uplifting a new generation of leaders and performers.

All funds raised from the evening directly support transgender services at H3RC, helping ensure that our community continues to have access to affirming, life-saving care.

Mahalo to our sponsors Project Vision, Gilead Sciences, and PFLAG Oʻahu for helping make this event possible.

Mahalo to everyone who joined us, supported the event, and helped bring Diva of Polynesia back to life.
