H3RC closed out World AIDS Day week with a joyful and heartfelt evening at Puamana, our annual community art show uplifting artists living with HIV and celebrating the long tradition of creativity, resilience, and expression within our community.

Puamana began more than two decades ago as a small gathering where people living with HIV could share their art and be recognized for their talent rather than their diagnosis. That spirit continues today as the event provides a space for artists to showcase their work, connect with others, and experience the healing power of storytelling through art.

This year’s show featured visual art, handmade crafts, and performances from community members whose stories brought depth and meaning to the evening. The room was filled with color, music, and a strong sense of belonging as attendees supported local artists and honored the roots of Puamana.

For many, Puamana is more than an exhibition. It is a reminder that their voices matter and that creativity remains an essential part of community healing. The event also bridges generations, connecting long-time survivors with younger community members who continue the work of reducing stigma and celebrating people living with HIV.

H3RC offers special thanks to Arts at Mark’s Garage for opening their space to us and helping create a welcoming home for this year’s event. We also extend our appreciation to Gilead Sciences for supporting Puamana and making it possible for us to uplift local artists and continue this cherished tradition.

Thank you to every artist, performer, volunteer, partner, and guest who made Puamana 2025 a meaningful celebration of art and community.
