HHHRC Director of Marketing & Development, Andrew Ogata, recently attended the prestigious National Biomedical HIV Prevention Conference. Andrew’s participation as a member of the National Minority AIDS Coalition’s Asian Constituent Advisory Panel (Asian CAP) highlights HHHRC’s dedication to leadership and advocacy within the field of HIV prevention.
At the conference, Andrew facilitated an impactful session titled “For here or to go? The future of Asian leadership in the field of HIV.” This session focused on the critical role of Asian leadership in HIV prevention and care, addressing both current challenges and future opportunities for Asian communities. Andrew was joined by other HIV leaders of Asian descent from across the country, who shared their experiences and insights, enriching the dialogue with diverse perspectives.
Andrew’s engagement at this national platform underscores the importance of our collective efforts to elevate voices from diverse backgrounds and to foster leadership that can drive meaningful change in HIV prevention and care. We are incredibly proud of Andrew’s contributions and look forward to the continued impact of his work both locally and nationally.

Really inspiring piece — I’ve worked on projects tied to public health leadership, and stories like Andrew Ogata’s highlight how impact comes from both vision and consistent community engagement. From my experience researching conference-driven outreach, strong leaders don’t just share information — they shape narratives that motivate action and trust, especially in sensitive areas like HIV prevention. I’ve also seen how AI Marketing Tools can support this kind of mission by helping organizations better understand audience behavior, optimize awareness campaigns, and extend the reach of conference insights beyond the event itself. Leadership like this sets a great example of how strategy, empathy, and innovation can work together for real-world impact.
